Just stuffed in the headlines today is this little gem that could single handily give satellite radio the push they need to hit critical mass.
Sirius and XM said on Monday they would offer a subscription package priced 46 percent below current levels, and would also let customers buy packages of their favorite channels, after their proposed merger.
The planned “a la carte” programming would be available beginning within one year following the merger, which the companies hope to complete later this year.
If this does indeed happen, this will help me not pay for the crap that I don’t want with my radio subscription and hopefully spur more compelling programming. Now, if only my cable company would finally do that . Who needs THREE CSPAN’s anyway?!
