When I was a kid, I used to get my Hondas & parts at Bud Ekins m/c in the SFV.
He had a fantastic collection of restored and somewhat current at the time unique motorcycles.
Honda made some exotic 125cc 5 cylinder racing engines, the Brits had the unique Ariel square four.
It all facinated me when I was in my early teens.
But as favorites, I’d have to say the Chevy small blocks and DD 71’s almost take the cake.
The engine that really gets my vote is the Packard/Rolls Royce Merlin XX 2200 HP.
About 150.000 of them were produced:

About to purchase a Red 2LZ. I have two options:
1) 2007 2LZ/NAV/Pollished Wheels/1300 miles: $63,000
2) 2008 2LZ/NAV/Chrome Wheels/5 miles: $71,000
I prefer the chrome wheels on the 08- I can have them chromed for $750 (LA Wheels).
Also much prefer the 08 console. From this forum looks like I can buy the updated 08 console for ~$450
So the net difference between the 08 and the 07 $6,800. The 07 was driven by a dealer so I’m not very co...

I decided to try something in my home. We are "China-Free" from here on out. No, we aint eating off paper plates only......we are simply not buying anything, NOTHING, made in China.
When I was stateside, in between deployments, I decided that when I actually moved home to live for good I would not spend my hard earned American dollars on anything Made in China. So, on Jan 8th, 2008, when I moved home after living away from my wife and kids for 5 years, we went China-Free in my house.

I’m looking into the Draw Tite hitch, as offered on a major Corvette parts website. I am NOT trying to initiate a conversation on the aesthetics, practicality, or any perceived insanity of installing a hitch on a C5Z, but I rather have a question reg’ding installation. So, if you have any experience with this, please assist:
Having looked up the instructions on the manufacturer site, I see that a 1" hole saw is necessary to make an access hole in the frame. First off, is a 1...
