Here is what seems to be my weekly Wednesday update. I am now a year older, as I celebarted my 31st birthday on Friday. I had a great birthday and went with a few friends to see Rent at my favorite outdoor theater. It rained just until were getting out of our cars, and then stopped so that we could enjoy our picnic and the show. Lily and Ben made me a cake (this was very important to Lily as she talked about it all day continuously listing the needed ingredients). Then the following day my friend Sarah, who teaches dance with me, took me to a spa to relax after a very busy month. What a nice way to spend the weekend. Isaac’s vocabulary is increasing. Katy shared that he said “Bless You” after Lily sneezed, and he now points out cars. This is in addition to always pointing out shoes. Lily played her first official board game last name, the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse version of Yahtzee. It actually can teach quite a few good things, like counting, choice, and waiting your turn. It is definitely a game for when Isaac is sleeping since he is too young to play. I posted new pictures and this desire is captured in a few of the pictures. I was a...

I went grocery shopping tonight on my way home from work and Lily saw a few of the boxes on the counter. One of them caught her eye (probably because there are cherry oatmeal cookies inside) and she wanted me to read her the box. I looked at it, and told her to tell me the letters from one of the sections. She correctly gave me all of the letters in USDA Organic! Wow, I was impressed. But not impressed enough to give her the cookies inside the box tonight, she will have to wait until to...

“I am teaching Isaac bad habits” is the quote from the weekend. We have a piece of furniture in the kitchen that has space for a few wine bottles at the bottom. Isaac and Lily know not to play with the wine bottles, and on Friday night I found Lily showing Isaac how to hide bouncy balls with the wine bottles. When I asked her what she was doing, she responded with “I am teaching Isaac bad habits.” I suppose this is what I say when she is doing things that I don’t w...
