With the election of Del. Jeff Frederick as new RPV Chairman and Del. Bob Marshall’s near upset of Jim Gilmore for the U.S. Senate nomination, Prince William County-based candidates sent shockwaves throughout the Virginia Republican establishment at the weekend convo. Before Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling announced his campaign for reelection in 2009 earlier this year, PWC Chairman Corey Stewart was a leading candidate for the LG post. And in 2007 while Republicans were being wiped out in Northern Virginia, PWC bucked the trend where Republicans actually built on their last election totals (the one exception being the 51st House seat where the party was split following a controversial convention.)
As the second largest county in Virginia and one of the wealthiest in the nation, it appears that Prince William County has arrived as the new epicenter of the Virginia Republican Party.

When I lived in Northern Virginia and before I had FioS there, I had Cox cable. Cox had very bad customer service and a lot of outages. But there is only one thing I miss about it; NASA TV. I may have only watched a few hours a year during shuttle missions, but that was still a lot more than I watch LMN, BET, QVC of the World Fishing Network.
