Twitter’s Down

Tomorrow afternoon we’ll be driving to Charlotte, and hopping on a plane to Boston Wednesday morning at 6am. With any luck we’ll get to have some amazing food and maybe even do some sight seeing after the conference is over. On the plus side, I’m going to be taking my laptop along, so I’ll get to read through some of my backlog of feeds. While I was off in Boston , someone decided to start SPAMing the crap out of my blog. I returned to about 200 messages waiting for me to clean them up. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of it. Not only did I get to stare blindly at the Wordpress admin panel for about 15 minutes selecting and deleting comments en masse (gee, I wish there were a ‘Mark selected comments as SPAM’ button in the Mass-edit mode), but then they decided to pick it right back up a little la... more

So there’s this woman I work with who has an insanely hot daughter that I’ve been trying to hook up with for quite a while. It started out trying to get a date with her daughter, then moved into a somewhat joking mood when it became clear that it wasn’t going to happen. I just finished taking the 2008 A List Apart survey for people who are, one way or another, involved in web development. I didn’t take their survey last year, but I was surprised at the thoroughness of their questions in some areas. There was an obviously design-oriented bias in a few different places, but overall I think it should give some really great results.
