Quote:
Three members of a Geraldton Football Club have appeared in court on drugs charges, with one accused of selling drugs from the team’s clubrooms.
Police say one player, Kade Phillips also took the drugs crystal meth and ecstacy before Country Week matches.
Mr Phillips is facing seven charges relating to the possession and sale of methamphetamine.
Fellow players Jamie Campbell and Reece Brennan are also facing drugs charges.
The players were not required to enter pleas in court.
Their matters have been adjourned until next month.
The three were charged after a two month police operation.
This is a worry, drug use may be more endemic than people think.
It is worth noting that the players took Meth before a match obviously believing that it would enhance their performance.
