Why?   1 small box of vanilla wafers 3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans 1 stick of butter, mel...

Still unpacking
From: travelingmama.net

Last night I started unpacking and organizing all the stamping goodies my Mother-in-law was able to bring for me in her suitcases.  I hadn’t really had a chance to play around with everything, but I was DYING to play with all my new chipboard, patterned paper, and stamps! Here is my first card using the sketch from Amy R.   It’s a little late to be getting around to weekend sketches, but they are such a great place to start that I really enjoy using them! Yes, Grandma’s visit has come to an end.  She is on an airplane as I write heading to New York and then back to Atlanta.  I wish saying good-bye could somehow get easier, but instead it only seems to get harder.  Holding Hailey in my arms, we tearfully said good-bye and then drove the longest three hours ever back home.  So, I needed something to cheer me up a bit, so I thought I would show you a couple of my favorite pictures of Parker.   This little guy is such a little R... more
If I had a bed and breakfast…
From: travelingmama.net
Post Date: 2008-03-01 06:42:06

For many years I daydreamed about owning my own bed and breakfast.  Many hours were filled glancing through piles and piles of recipes and trying this and that.  My husband, of course, was always eager to taste test for me. So when I saw this post at My Marrakesh I found myself once again dreaming of what I might like to serve…   It would have to be elegant and yet practical…   Have an ethnic, Moroccan feel and yet appeal to the tastes of foreignersR... more
Visit to the Medina
From: travelingmama.net
Post Date: 2008-02-29 02:24:20

Having Grandma here for a visit has been so wonderful!  Yesterday we went down to the Medina Kadima (old towne) and had a blast hunting through many stores for wonderful treasures for her to take back to everyone in the States.    We started in the more “touristy” hanuts (stores) and worked our way back to the familiar hanuts we frequent (and frequency always equals better prices!)   Vibrant colors give a lively punch of color to the b... more
