Digia have today announced the immediate shipping of @Web , their Webkit based UIQ 3 browser. This application, which has been in fairly open beta testing for the last few months, brings full S60, iPhone & Google Android style browsing to the UIQ 3 platform.

I must say that Opera Mini 4.2 kicks some serious **** over the default BB browser on the Storm!! It does not use the press/click to navigate, more like a double tap and you need to bring up the K/B manually when needed but other than that, it does a really good job of rendering and loading pages. Much faster than the default browser and an acceptable alternative until a better solution comes out IMHO.
