According to Variety , Amy Adams has signed to star in The Daughter of the Queen of Sheba, an indie drama based on the biography of NPR correspondent Jacki Lyden , focusing on Lyden used “her mother’s madness and delusions to empower herself.” That description makes me cringe a little (maybe because the sexist pig in me hates the word “empower”) but Lyden is a fascinating figure.
