Well, Enkei was not the only company to make mesh wheels. American Racing, Ronal, BBS, etc. all had a version of the Enkei 92 ( or something similar). Plus, they need not be mesh either as the Ronal 5 spoke ( I will get the model number) is also a proper wheel style for these cars. Interestingly, the Enkeis seem to be fairly light. I weighed one of mine with a 225 60 16 on it the other day when I took it off to prime the car, and combined they were just under 42lbs. Compared to an AMC 15x7 rally I had left over from a Go Pak Javelin AMX with 225 70 15’s it was 12-15 lbs lighter. I don’t have a figure for the wheel by itself, but the next time I have the tires dismounted I will bring a scale. As another side note, the Enkei 92’s (or the ARE knockoffs, I forget which) were the stock wheels used on the original Saleen Mustangs. I wish someone would start making these wheels again. I think there would be a m...

Good mild 318 build plan?From: forabodiesonly.com

As some of you may know my valves are bent from a slipped timing chain in my ’70 318 Duster and I’ve decided that I’m going to just go semi-all-out (?) and pull the engine for a top-end rebuild. I don’t want to set it back to stock because the dismal compression compounded with the 7000 ft. elevation, stock converter, and 2.76 gears made it pretty gutless. At the same time it ran out of breath by 3500 RPM which really annoyed me, especially when I needed the extra powe...

Quick Question For Edelbrock Performer HeadsFrom: forums.stangnet.com

Hey everyone, I have a quick question about the Edelbrock Performer Heads. I recently bought a set of Edelbrock Performer Heads for my 347 stroker. They are the ones with 2.02" 1.60" valves pedestal mount part #EDL-60399. My question is, Is there any way to convert it to stud mount 3/8 or 7/16’s? Not sure if i should keep the heads pedestal mount or convert them to stud mount if there is a way that is...Any ideas? I’m going to be pushing no more then 385-415 to the wheels for street...
