IMPORTANT NOTE : I’m taking next week off to give me time to catch up in school and also launch a new campaign. Normal posting will resume on March 3rd.
You may have noticed that I’ve done some more category shifting. I’ve gotten rid of Hostile Hostels, folding it into the broader Peculiar Places, and I’ve created a new category called Friends & Foes for posts about NPCs and organizations.
I’ve also changed the header so that I’m now using art which is in the public domain. No one complained about my old header, but I always felt bad that I was breaking the law by using it.
Here’s some stats I’ve written up for Kiln-born and dryads , with some help from the friendly folks at the Great White Games forums :
General Kiln-Born traits All Kiln-Born possess these traits.
(-1): Cannot heal naturally or by magic; must be repaired

I think I’ve finally found a solution to reconcile my desire to do world-building and my obligation to create encounters… Namely, by turning my world-building into hooks for encounters, as seen in my post on the kiln-born . It is found where it is needed and disappears with the breeze. -Anbar Ibn Jamal Ibn Hatim
The Greenmarket is a place of succor and wonders, appearing to weary travelers to give them much-needed respite and offer them fantastic goods. Those wandering in the wilderness first hear the sounds of music and merrymaking, and following them quickly discover the lights of the Greenmarket.
The Greenmarket appears to be a small, but very busy, marketplace, and changes nature depending on where it is ...

The Kamit are a race of dwarves living in the Shalasta desert. They build massive pyramids to house their cities and twisting catacombs underneath the pyramids to store their dead. Kamit have skin colors ranging from light tan to deep brown. They tend not to grow beards as long as other dwarves, and goatees are quite common. Facial hair is kept immaculately groomed and bound in jeweled bands of precious metals.
The cultural, religious and economic center of Kamit society is a massive pyramid-...
