Fiercely competitive pricing in Europe damaged the value of US wine exports last year, California’s Wine Institute has said. Value sales of US wine exports rose 8.6 per cent to a record $951m in 2007, but volumes grew faster at 12 per cent, according to new figures from the Institute.
