Right now, it costs 1.7 cents to make a penny and 10 cents to make a nickel. I’m no expert, but that’s… dumb . Luckily, the House voted to change this a few days ago. Now our pennies will be made of steel — yay . ( Boston.com )

Some people have class all day, and they are sheltered from the world for the entire day. Many of us — including myself — have been interested by this story because it’s so scandalous. But the truly sad part of this story is that the Spitzer family is sitting at home now trying to figure out how to move onto the day after. So despite all my posts about seemingly meaningless things, and all the funny things we’re going to say about Spitzer, there’s obviously a very dark side to this all. ... more
