Barack Obama's pledge on June 11th to AIPAC that Jerusalem should be Israel's undivided capital has angered Palestinian officials . President Mahmoud Abbas made a statement that Obama's pledge is “totally rejected,” while Saeb Erekat, an Abbas aide, said that Palestinian negotiators would continue to insist upon East Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital. McCain Campain Misleading About Obama and Iran
From: pressleypress.com
Post Date: 2008-09-27 21:46:14

From FactCheck.org : “McCain has launched two different deceptive attacks on Obama’s Iran policy. Back in June, McCain implied that Obama did not support naming Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization. And more recently, McCain blasted Obama for saying that Iran was “tiny” and “didn’t pose a serious threat.” Both claims are seriously misleading. It’s true that Obama voted against an amendment that would have name... more

I saw Trouble the Water tonight — excellent, deeply moving film. I think the tag line sums it up nicely – It’s not about a hurricane… it’s about America I mean just damn, what more can be said? Katrina showed us our worst and our best all at once, and they’ve captured it masterfully in this documentary centered around two survivors who camcorded their own documentary as the disaster hit. On other subjects, I finally watched the debate when I got hom... more

Mark Steyn (now free from Canadian prosecution for un-PC speech) would prefer a less mystical adversary from the left. The day after the debate I bumped into two Obama supporters in St Johnsbury, Vermont who said isn’t it great that he’s on course to win. Well, they were cute chicks, and I know an obvious pick-up line when I hear one, so I stopped to chat. God Almighty, it was like reverse Viagra: After ten minutes of Babes For Barack, I never want to meet a female w... more

Haim Watzman I just got a call from Meir Porush ’s campaign central. Would I be voting for the Haredi candidate for mayor of Jerusalem, the polite young woman asked me? No, I won’t, I said. I’ll be voting for the rival candidate, Nir Barkat . And to hell with my blogging partner, Gershom, whose concern for an equitable settlement with the Palestinians in Jerusalem (justified) and his abiding suspicion of rich businessmen (somewhat less justified) has misled him into su... more
