Popsquire is in mourning . A favorite source, Page Six, has been banned from the blog-o-sphere ! This press release excerpt says it all:
Pagesix.com is being shut down, effective today. The URL already redirects to the New York Post ’s main website. Pagesix.com , which was largely independent of the newspaper’s Page Six print column, had been live only since December.
“Given the difficulty in the economy, it was not the right time for this launch,” said Jennifer Jehn, Senior Vice President of Pagesix.com . A total of 18 editorial and support staffers will be let go and three reassigned within the New York Post .

Depending on the number of employees, a company that shuts down without warning its employees in advance may be liable to each affected employee for back pay and benefits pursuant to the Federal WARN Act.
Unfortunately for the Page Six employees, however, the WARN Act is not ...
