On the other side of the Canada/US border, on July 23rd, 2008, the US President signed into law the New and Emerging Technologies 911 Improvement Act of 2008 (Technology Act). While the overall objective of the Technology Act is to improve 911 services generally, including increased accessibility to persons with disabilities, the law contains provisions particularly directed to the standard of 911 services to be provided to VoIP consumers.

It is true that many Americans just don’t "get" some British comedy, with the sense of humour of the British so much different to that of the Americans.
