I was fortunate to be invited to the CFDA Vogue dinner at the Mansion on Turtlecreek the other night. I was EXTRA fortunate to find myself seated right between Neiman’s Ken Downing and Marchesa designer Keren Craig who divulged that she was dying to try to the chicken fried bacon from the State Fair. After a few glasses of wine between us and much discussion about everything from American politics (duh) to why the heck I visited the city of Dover when I went to England one summer, she was oh SO close to skeedadling with us down to Cedar Springs to the gay country western bar, the Round-Up Saloon to continue our fun chat. ("Next time we are in Dallas, I PROMISE! I want to see the dancing cowboys!" she exclaimed as we exchanged kisses and goodbyes). Alas, the Marchesa ladies had an early flight in the morning.
Ken Downing also revealed to me that Christian Louboutin designs all of Brit singer’s MIKA’s shoes. A future foray into men’s...
