Meal Plan for the Week: Wholesome, Tasty, and Allergen-Free (Plus a weight-loss update)

Do you ever have moments when your brain is so mashed full of thoughts, ideas, and feelings that when you open your mouth to speak or pose your hands to type, you pause to collect your thoughts, and then can get little of use to come out? That’s me today.  I’m sitting in a chair by an open bedroom window, listening to Hurricane Tropical Storm Depression Fay filter rain through the trees before it sloshes on down the street.  I’m sitting by my window at home at 3:30 p.m. because I’m in the last throes of a stomach . . . virus? illness of some sort . . . that I picked up just after my upper respiratory infection ended last week. When it’s affecting me, I can’t do much but succumb, but fortunately, it’s been an intermittent sort of illness (at least in its fading state), so that when I’m not having tummy troubles, I can at least read and write.  And, after all, that is much of what I live to do, so while I am tired of being sic...
