My wife and I have been hunting for a larger house here in San Diego for several months as we’ve outgrown our little townhouse long ago. We must have looked inside at least 60 houses by now because we have a long list of criteria, and we need to get an excellent deal in a down market.
We’ve made some offers and even walked away from a deal because our house inspector found too many problems. Our agent is getting frustrated with us and I can’t say I blame her.
Finally this week we seem to have closed in on two places about a mile apart. The one we’ve made an offer on is a short sale (pre-foreclosure) in a beautiful upper middle class neighborhood. The turnout in Texas was absolutely stunning. Votes in the Democratic primary more or less match the number of votes Kerry received in the general in 2004. More people participated in the Democratic precinct conventions in Texas than voted in the Republican primary. Texas is in play in November and John Cornyn better start boxing up his place in the Beltway.
