The Politico points out that Joe Biden is already sounding like, well, Joe Biden. Nothing damaging here but everything he says is overblown rhetoric. And there are going to be a lot more open mikes around the guy who said that the reason D.C. public schools fail is that they have too many black children . I remind you that Biden said:
“There’s less than one percent of the population of Iowa that is African American. There is probably less than four of five percent that are minorities. What is in Washington? So look, it goes back to what you start off with, what you’re dealing with,” said Biden.
Amusingly, his staff quickly “clarified,” i.e., denied Biden said what he had said.
The Biden campaign moved quickly to clarify the senator’s remarks in a statement: “This was not a race-based distinction.”
Except that it was. He used the terms “African-American” and “minorities,” not “poor” a...
