Hola amigos. Quisiera preguntarles que repercusiones tiene el termino "open surce" al referirse a MySQL, es decir, bajo que circunstancias es "free" su uso y bajo que circunstancias se debe pagar por una licencia. Agradezco de antemano sus comentarios.

Okay I dont know even how to start this. I’ve read a bunch of procedure tutorials, but I don’t quite understand how to grab row by row with readers and such. I have a default installation of mysql(4.x) on my hpux server that has place a default my.cnf file in /etc I have a new application that uses a newer version of mysql (5.x)and uses a my.cnf file from it local directory. The start/stop scripts provided for both the default hpux install and the new application are the same default scripts provided by mysql. I have a problem with character issues in the DB. For instance, in my column: Long Description, after the description i get these characters:? and it truncates the info. What can i do to correct and stop this from happening again?... more
