Marie Castello, aka Madame Marie, died this past weekend. She was the Asbury Park fortune teller turned into rock ’n roll mythical figure via Bruce Springsteen. Madame Marie became famous in 1973 when he paid homage to her in the song 4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy). jmj
