This is part 3 (or really part 4 or 5) of my slowly-growing series on organization-based friending in social networks. Here’s what I have so far: Attracting Friends, Part 2: Twitter Attracting Friends, Part 1 More on Friending Don’t Friend Me Now, on to Facebook. How do you attract friends using Facebook? Help Me Decode My Genome by Christmas
From: feeds.feedburner.com
Post Date: 2007-12-06 00:44:09

I really want to decode my genome by Christmas. Unlock the secrets of my DNA if you will. Not only that, I want to be able to read and understand my DNA. I want to figure out what diseases I’m going to catch in the future. I want to figure out if I’m going to suffer a heart attack or gain 40 extra pounds by the time I’m 35 years of age. This isn’t crazy talk. Supposedly, 23andMe a biotech startup based out of Palo Alto, CA, can help me do this. For only $999... more

From: feeds.feedburner.com
Post Date: 2007-12-03 10:40:27

FYI 2 : I shop at Wal-Mart from time to time for really cheap deodorant, electronic cables etc. After my last post , I started pondering the ramifications Beacon would have on peer pressure and consumer movements. I don’t know about everyone else but I don’t know what most of my friends buy and endorse in their personal time when they aren’t trying to keep up their image. I have a friend wh... more

From: feeds.feedburner.com
Post Date: 2007-11-29 11:55:56

As you know, yesterday I decided to bite the bullet and sign-up for Comcast high-speed Internet. Yesterdays episode with Comcast ended with a  Live Chat with Joe  (FYI: make Joe laugh and he will waive the $99 installation fee for new customers). I was feeling great about making Joe laugh and saving $99, but I was still skeptical of the high speed-ness of the service, the extra fees I’m sure I will receive and how Comcast has treated customers in the past (present?!).... more
