Initially I just made this a comment in Alent’s blog about the shoutbox being removed. Ciderhelm apparently didn’t have experience with IRC, so I wanted to give him something to poke around with before deciding if he wanted to endorse the channel or not. Since Cider hasn’t showed up and it’s been a couple days now, I’m posting this thread in the hopes of getting more interest from the cool shoutbox people. So I got tired of no shoutbox and set up a channel on dalnet just to check interest and possibly let Cider get a feel for IRC before he decides if it’s a good idea or not. To access it: Download an IRC client such as mIRC, which can be found for free at mIRC: Internet Relay Chat client mIRC will have a list of servers you can connect to in it’s settings. Warrior Is Battle Shout Bugged?

Incoming Newbie question... I have 4/5 in Commanding Presence. When I mouse over Battle Shout (BS) in my spell book it reads, "AP +367." When I cast BS and hover over the buff, BS read "AP +306." I have SS if needed although I will have to make a photobucket account to load them. ... more

General crushing blows

got a question looking at the combat table if you have combined parry/dodge/block/miss of for example 95% does that then mean the 7.4% of not avoided/mitigated hits will be crushing blows or 7.4% will be straight hits and of those 15% will be crushes i guess the latter but looking at addons like tankpoints ingame it gives the impression that if you do not mitigate the hit its gonna be a crush ... more

I am a bit new here and to tanking in general. Anyways my guild has been doing kara for a while now, but we are on the cusp of doing 25m raids and ZA. We have now gotten to the point of having a variety of tanks and in my limited experience it has been pretty clear that each class of tank has mechanical advantages and disadvantages.
