Initially I just made this a comment in Alent’s blog about the shoutbox being removed. Ciderhelm apparently didn’t have experience with IRC, so I wanted to give him something to poke around with before deciding if he wanted to endorse the channel or not. Since Cider hasn’t showed up and it’s been a couple days now, I’m posting this thread in the hopes of getting more interest from the cool shoutbox people.
So I got tired of no shoutbox and set up a channel on dalnet just to check interest and possibly let Cider get a feel for IRC before he decides if it’s a good idea or not.
To access it:
Download an IRC client such as mIRC, which can be found for free at mIRC: Internet Relay Chat client
mIRC will have a list of servers you can connect to in it’s settings. Select a DALnet one closest to you. If this puzzles anyone I can provide more technical ways of connecting.

I am a bit new here and to tanking in general. Anyways my guild has been doing kara for a while now, but we are on the cusp of doing 25m raids and ZA. We have now gotten to the point of having a variety of tanks and in my limited experience it has been pretty clear that each class of tank has mechanical advantages and disadvantages.
