But things really picked up this decade, and Barney was there at every turn Hmmm. .. going back to 1992? Wasn’t Barney then partnered to a man who worked at Fannie Mae ? Interesting that a man who blames the crisis on a paucity of regulation of the private sector has a long record of opposing ...

The Republican walk in the desert looks to be a long one indeed.  From The Right Coast, one of the saner voices of the Right wing blogosphere: They (Republicans) also need to be seen as the honest party. That is a lot easier to do when you are not in power. But part of that is highlighting the wrongdoing of the Democrats. Here is a good test: If Chris Dodd and Barney Frank are enjoying their chairmanships in January of 2010, rather than being forced to respond to charges of corruption and mism... more

Ever since I moved to LA, I have been represented by one of the most obnoxious Democratic partisans in the House, Henry Waxman. He seems to see it his mission as the Chairman of the Oversight & Government Reform Committee to investigate any Republican he happens to dislike, alleging corruption or law-breaking where there is only the barest hint of impropriety. I did gain some respect for him when in March 2003, he wrote a letter to then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi informing her that ... more
Obama’s MSM Free Pass Expiring?
From: politics.boogietrain.nl
Post Date: 2008-03-04 14:25:58

Barely twenty-four hours after writing that the MSM was giving Illinois Senator Barack Obama “ free pass ” in his bid for the White House, it appeared ABC News was revoking it. Soon after ABC revoked that pass (well, perhaps that network wasn’t the first), CNN followed suit. Yesterday, I had (inadvertently) timed my cardio workout to coincide with the evening news and looked up to see ABC’s Charlie Gibson reporting that questions were being raised abou... more

It seems that every day now, I receive some e-mail announcing that this or that gay activist, elected official or organization has backed Barack Obama for president. Many are flocking to him after their recent flirtation with the ill-fated John Edwards. Former Texas State Representative Glen Maxey, the only open gay person to serve in the Texas legislature has endorsed the Illinois Senator as has the Houston LGBT political caucus. It’s not just former Edwards supporters. Even gay Cli... more
