I wonder how much money these musicians lost by not removing the stick from their backsides ? Ann and Nancy Wilson are pissed at the Republican Party and have fired off a cease and desist letter to the McCain/Palin campaign. Specifically, the Heart women are upset that the GOP has used their classic “Barracuda” as a theme song for Sarah Palin. It’s a shame that art has to play second fiddle to silly political fits of pique.

The Huffington Post / Blog - 10:11 am For many of us, 2008 will mark the last time we vote for a candidate who does not favor same-sex marriage. Sarah Palin wishes everyone a happy Thanksgiving. The Huffington Post explains the occasion: On Thursday, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin appeared in Wasilla in order to pardon a local turkey in anticipation of Thanksgiving. This proved to be a slightly absurd but ultimately unremarkable event. But what came next was positively surreal. After the pardon Palin proceeded to do an interview with a local TV station while the turkeys were being SLAUGHTERED in the background!! Seemingly oblivious to ... more

So how’s the war on Terror Going these daysm, you ask? Pretty much just like the President has said it’s been going . NEW YORK (AP) - Reports of an increase in terrorist violence around the world have been distorted by the high number of civilian casualties in Iraq, and omitting those deaths reveals a decline in terrorism, a research group argued in a new report Wednesday. The Human Security Brief 2007 said that without the figures from Iraq, fatalities from terrori... more

On one side of the Capitol, the House is trying to re-pass it’s 300 billion dollar fleecing of the American taxpayer but what’s the Senate up to? As it happens, they’re busy passing a war spending bill that includes 10 billion dollars in domestic pork . The President has promised to veto this bill like he did (and will again) the farm bill but that veto will last about as long as a oyster cracker in a sandstorm. This bill passed the Senate with 75 “yea” v... more

Yesterday, the panjandrums of the Senate summoned the executives of the oil biggest oil companies to them to explain why they were inflicting such suffering on the American people. They didn’t get what they expected . Though they were appropriately meek, the executives took the opportunity to school the Senators in basic economics and how the number 4 is a lot smaller than the number 15 . Those numbers, by the way, represent the average percentage of profits made last year by their ... more
