Watch CBS Videos Online We all know Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps won a whopping eight gold medals in Beijing. What we don’t know is that Phelps is the first person on the planet to own a copy of Call of Duty: World at War for the PlayStation 3. During an interview with the CBS Early Show, the now-legendary swimmer was handed a copy of the FPS in question. Here’s when things start getting even more interesting: According to Treyarch , the game’s developer, the game’s PS3 case contained an IOU card since the game isn’t finished yet. That’s right; Phelps didn’t get a working copy of the game. it was all bullshit PR. The developer did promise, however, that Phelps will get the first disc off the production line later this year. America’s Army: Overmatch
From: fpsrantings.com

To help celebrate America’s Army hitting their 4th anniversary they’re getting ready to release the newest update to the government funded game. This new updates promises some great new co-op gameplay vs some beefed up AI. Should be fun. Co-op is one of the most underused gameplay features available and I’m always stoked to see games implement it. We recognized the need for an AI that is unpredictable and gameplay that warrants replay. Therefore we could not employ the us... more

It figures . Can’t say I’m surprised. But as with anything there’s always two sides to the coin. The main hope that with them pushing back the date on this is that they’ll be able to get it more polished and implement more features before it does finally ship out. The other side of course is that the game is horribly, horribly broken and it will never work nor will it ever be good. You may think that’s a bit extreme, but if you always plan for the worst, then y... more

So this weekend I played through Half Life 2 Episode 1 again but this time with the commentary enabled. It was really a different experience. While I didn’t focus so much on playing as looking for the little commentary nodes. You see, as you play through the game you’ll come across the nodes and when you use one it’ll play a track from one of the developers and they’ll talk about the scene. It was really cool. I had forgotten about this feature from before and it made... more
