The most versatile and manoeuvrable of the Flitter-Flaps to date. Jai-Jai gyro stabilizers have finally been perfected in this model, though the original prototype (FFzero) remains unparalleled in reverse-quarter-spin-flicks. Powered by a self-winding ‘crank’ engine ingeniously adapted to harness the momentum of the main rotor blade. Rumours about the FF4 claim that an unmanned test vehicle was able to successfully navigate a complete triple-rip-drop-spin only a hair’s width above the ground. Copyright 2008 Codex Transportica

RestoSpeed Racing Bed, Model 54
From: codextransportica.com
Post Date: 2008-03-10 14:07:57

The RestoSpeed Corporation manufactured a number of racing beds for the esteemed Sleep-A-Bye 500 bi-annual races held in Troingenheim. The 54, however, was a derivative intended for drag-racing and as such, had almost no cornering capability. It’s power plant (an internal combustion V8 running on a secret fuel the company refers to only as “Nyquil”) developed 600bph and propelled the bed from 0 to 60 MPH in under 3 seconds. The cabin was appointed with down pillows, cottenelle ... more

Sporting a 300bhp V6 motor driving a tiny rear wheel, this cycle suffered from control problems due to excessive torque. Despite the weight over the drive wheel, it was absurdly easy to break traction. The subsequent loss of forward momentum usually resulted in a crash – and without a boarding gantry, the pilot would be forced to walk home. Even when running properly, a sudden stop could catapult the pilot over the front wheel and into the pavement. Later versions attempted to fix these is... more

Part transport part art form, these majestic machines required years of tuition to successfully steer without falling over or crashing. Propulsion is provided by the rider steering the Slave Trolley (via remote control). The trolley is skilfully positioned to push the giant wheel along until sufficient momentum is achieved. Breaking is also provided by the trolley by forcing it in front of the wheel and gradually applying pressure to the tyre. Trolleys came with a variety of capa... more
Stretcher Tank

As the “walking wounded” wars became the “limbless legions” wars, drastic measures where required to get the injured back to the battle front. Using rockets to fire the limbless combatants back into the heart of the fighting was quickly considered a patronising and demeaning act. The solution: the Stretcher Tank. This sophisticated mobile bed allowed the ‘driver’ to steer the machine with nothing more than their mouth (via the long joy-stick), ... more
