“Joyful In Hope, Faithful in Prayer” Romans 12:12
Today (Sunday 13th) was the Second Chirch & Chips of the year, but this may have been the highlight of many because today was The Salvation Army’s Commitment Sunday 2008 - a fresh year to follow the Lord - with a mixed meeting this morning with both the adults and the children celebrating Hope, Faith and Prayer together.
The meeting began with a sketch showing the power of Hope with a modern perspective (Batteries!) - the whole meeting was based around a core theme “Joyful in Hope, Faithful in Prayer”, a hot potato if you like and we really bit into it with the children telling the group their hopes for the future and the only two St Peter Port Junior Soldiers sharing their reasons for bridging the gap between them and The Lord “Making the Best Friend you will ever make”, and Francesca talking about her experiences of MaM Summer Camp - at the end of the meeting nearly ...
