These news items have been stacking up. Here are the posted/known comic page changes for the last two weeks.
The Yankton Press & Dakotan went looking to replace two strips and decided to pick up four instead . New strips include Baby Blues, Mother Goose and Grimm, Dick Tracy, and Bizarro. Leaving the paper due to high negatives in a recent poll include Dilbert and Rubes.
Tundra and MyCage are now in the Honolulu Star Bulletin . They took the space of outgoing PreTeena and another local feature that was moved to another section of the paper.
The Journal Gazette and Times-Courier is adding Baby Blues and Tundra and dropping Rose is Rose and Peanuts. Additionally, the paper has dropped both Doonesbury and Mallard Fillmore which used to run on their editorial page.
The recently launched The Knight Life has been picked up by the Times Union in Albany NY and the Boston Herald .
The afore mentioned Times Tribune has also picked up Lio to take the place of Hagar the Horribl...

A recent study published in The Journal of Clinical Oncology shows that some new cancer patients are having trouble remembering the details of the conversation they had with their doctor concerning their diagnosis. In fact, it was determined that many of these patients remembered less than half of what their doctor had told them. "In general, patients do not hear much of what is said after bad news is delivered," the researchers wrote.

Tonight is the premiere of The Amazing Race. The thirteenth season starts at 8pm/EST on CBS. Tonight’s show is entitled, "Bees are much calmer than this." The race begins with 11 teams departing the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and flying to Salvador, Brazil, where they must either climb up a large stone staircase on their hands and knees or climb down a 240-foot cargo net. The first pit stop is Forte São Marcelo and the last team to arrive is eliminated.

The Amazing Race is back for its 13th season and after winning their sixth Emmy in a row they have a lot to stand up for. Starting once again in Los Angeles, California the new 11 teams began from the Colosseum in California. After getting to know the teams the race began as the teams learned they were to fly to Belize for their first leg. Tonight is a big TV night for us a couple of the shows that we really like are on tonight, The Amazing Race and The Unit are shows that we try not to miss any time that they are on TV and tonight will be no exception. We do not have a lot of extra time to watch TV so when we do find a show that we like it is important to us to see it, and these two shows are some that we will stop what we are doing to make time to watch. Sally Forth writer Francesco Marciuliano and On a Claire Day creators Carla Ventresca and Henry Beckett will be one of six comic professionals that will be judging this year’s Lakeland Community College’s annual Comics Contest. The annual comics symposium is usually held in the spring, but this year it is a more of a series exploring the graphic novel. Harvey Pekar is one of this year’s special guests.
