The godfathers of YBA opened their show at the Brooklyn Museum with a discussion and book signing this evening. The Gilbert and George retrospective runs until January 11, 2009. Don’t miss it.

This Saturday the Save Coney Island circus comes to our manor. The party is to promote awareness of the city’s plan to re-develop Coney, and to raise money for Coney Island USA , The Coney Island History Project , Save Coney Island and The Polar Bear Club . Earlier in the week, I spent a little time with Mark Ravitz (below), creator of the 7th Avenue Drips, which he’s been developing for more than 20 years. He’s also done a range of set designs for David Bowie and concept work for Studio 54’s "Midget Formal Dinner"  Halloween party.
