This piece of science fiction reality is looking very, very cool. You are looking at the Boeing SkyHook JHL-40, a heavy lift rotorcraft designed to lift tons of weight in the remotest and most dangerous places imaginable. Boeing is designing the SkyHook JHL-40 to be able to lift 40 tons, carry it 200 miles, and survive in harsh environments like the Arctic or the tops of rugged mountains. The idea is that this rotorcraft airship will be able to get where no other piece of heavy lifting equipment can. It will do this with very little fuel and without disturbing the environment. This isn't just some crazy concept craft. Boeing has a multiyear contract with SkyHook International to develop the JHL-40 (Jess Heavy Lifter), and they are being built at Boeing's Rotorcraft Systems plant in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania. As soon as they can be certified by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and Transport Canada, they will begin flying operations. Source. See f...

From: gadgets-weblog.com
Post Date: 2008-03-04 10:28:39

I have to say that I like to have things clean. I may not be germaphobic, but I wouldn't mind having the Superheated Steam Cleaner to help me really get that disinfecting clean. As you can see, all you need to do is aim this 1200 Watt Superheated Steam Cleaner toward any problem area, pull the trigger, and bam! That stain will soon be disinfected by the power of steam. It's great on areas that gather up much germs, and it can disinfect some deadly ones like e-coli. This handheld m... more

From: gadgets-weblog.com
Post Date: 2008-03-03 23:55:08

Able Planet has come up with a technology called LINX AUDIO that maximizes the intelligibility of speech, can clip distortion, and restricts electromagnetic interference. These things provide a truer, clearer sound at lower volume levels. This technology will make it's way into the Clear Voice VoIP handset, which was shown off at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2008. No word yet on pricing or availability. A number of other handsets sold by Able Planet also incorporate this technolo... more
BlackBerry 8830 World Edition

I realize this might be Johnny-come-lately review, but I only recently just got my hands of the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition. It's setup was somewhat simple, but after that the interface with its mini-trackball does take a little getting used to. Once you have mastered it, you can pretty much do anything from surfing the web to checking your email. Oh, by the way, it can do phone calls, and I'm told it is the first BlackBerry CDMA that can roam globally without having to make any c... more
Rumor: Nokia N95-3 To Be Sold At AT&T
From: gadgets-weblog.com
Post Date: 2008-03-03 00:22:34

Engadget is reporting that AT&T will finally get the Nokia N95-3 sometime in the second quarter of 2008. The Nokia N95-3 is the U.S. version of the Nokia N95-1 (i.e. the original N95), which has a bigger battery, U.S. 3G frequencies, but is missing the lens cover for the camera. While the phone is "old" by some standards, it is light years ahead of anything currently being sold in a U.S. carrier store. There are no pricing details as of yet, nor are there any details about how... more
