I was wondering if anyone here has had an aftermarket sunroof installed. I just bought an 08 Altima 3.5SE without a sunroof and the dealer, in order to make the deal, said they would have one put in for me. I have mentioned this to a couple of friends, and they seem to think it is a bad idea due to the probability of leaks. I haven’t had it installed yet, and now I’m wondering if I really should get it done at all. So, has anyone had any problems with an after market sunroof put in their car?

Hypermiling the 2.5S

Just wondering if anyone is fooling around with this. Seems like there’s a lot of gas mileage threads, but not much on hypermiling (changing your driving behavior to maximize gas mileage). I’ve been playing with it a bit this week on my work drive (10.5 miles each way, plus a couple miles for lunch). Before, was averaging about 24.5 MPG on my 07 2.5S. odd Ticking noise on startup?

ok so this morning I start my car up.. starts up just fine like normal. but for about 2-3 sec after the car had started it makes a Loud Ticking kinda like the noise you get when you put cards in the spokes of Bike tires it went away and the only thing I can think of is there was no oil up on my cams so it made that Noise until the Oil had worked its way around... I may be completely wrong.... any ideas? is this something I should get looked at or nothing to worry about? ... more

Interior Paint Job

Well, about a year ago I decided I hated the silver pieces surrounding the shifter, a/c controls, lower cubby and window controls on each door. I painted them with a light black hammered color to match the seude and keep the black theme throughout. It turned out so well that after much deliberation, I decided to dive a little deeper into my painting project.
