That’s weird! I didn’t see the "pen path" thing until you said that. You should try printing off a couple variations, or even just that one, and post it (them) up in a spot where family, friends or colleagues can see. EVERYONE has an opinion on what a logo should look like and the people around you who know the least about design sometimes spot the things that could be disastrous... like people misreading your company name. I read "penpath" as well, but I just read it as "openpath" because I already knew what you were attempting to say. I think sometimes that becomes the hardest part of designing a logo, the interpretation to other people and how they understand it. That is your main objective with logos though, right? To put an impression on someone, so I can see why it’s important :) I do like the second one better though. Just needs to find that right piece that just makes it all click to be perfect :... more
