Plants-
I’d like you to meet my children. Two bonsai: tamarind (center), jaboticaba (left), six orchids, and a few other epiphytes including two crazy antler-like plants that grow out of moss hanging on the wall. When I travel people ask me if I like living in New York. My typical response is that I love it, but I miss trees. I’d fill my entire apartment with plants if they didn’t need sunlight, making this window shelf a daily necessity for my sanity.

Overkill , a store in Berlin, has just released the Nike Football Friendly Pack. Each jacket from the pack is supposed to coincide with a recently released Air Force 1 (which is cool) and that matches up with the national colors of Brasil, Korea and India. The idea is to promote the camaraderie between players and the love of the game. The jacket also features the word “love” in Portugese, Korean and Hindi on the inside of the jackets. I don’t know whether to be scared sh*tless after seeing this video or be giving mad props to the pilot for not crashing.
This Lufthansa flight from Munich was trying to land in Hamburg with the remnants of Hurrican Emma blew a gust of wind believed to be in the 155 mph range .
